The Heavy Editors sound like Superchunk playing GBV covers at Paul Westerberg’s wedding. Straddling the line between alternative and hard rock, the DC/Silver Spring trio are bringing guitar-oriented rock back in unapologetic fashion.
Guitarist Joe Vallina, bassist John Rapoza, and drummer Wally Bird are currently supporting their first full-length, The City at Night, released in May and described by PopCult as “a cool collection of short, punchy and excellently-crafted blasts of pure power pop, with a little punk thrown in for good measure.”
