ARIA is a 21-year old rapper, songwriter and producer from Washington, D.C. that we are becoming huge fans of here at Alchemical. He is a student at American University, and he turned down multiple scholarship offers so that he was able to focus on music while going to school. In the last 12 months, ARIA’s releases amassed more than 30 million cumulative streams across digital platforms; going viral on Global Shazam, Apple, iTunes and Deezer charts, and hitting the #1 spot on Hype Machine. He also has been nominated for a Wammie.
His newest release is titled, “Out of Bounds,” which is also produced by Mike Olsen. The beat behind the song is very bouncy, and is a great track for anyone who wants to dance. When we listened to this song, the whole room began to dance, and the energy in the room was immediately elevated. ARIA also uses some incredible lyricism to be sure that the song is stuck in your head, such as when the hook rings, “I know what I’m bout, you don’t know what you just found, imma kick it out of bounds.” The flow reminds us of one of the more well-known DMV rappers in recent history, Logic, who has actually just recently retired from his rap career.
