Emma Lee is forging her own path as a Ungandan-born, Harlem-raised emcee rap activist, but continues to prove that continual exploration of one’s craft in collaboration with others is still the most effective and impactful methods of engaging and building more community. “Dear Corona” was written and arranged by Lee, and was produced and engineered by fellow renaissance artist, and Brooklyn native, Emzkey One. Together, they would co-direct and co-edit a fascinating music video for the track, which highlights the social impact that COVID-19 has had around the world, and that health is not an issue that should be used to divide people by race or gender.
