Sometimes, you just want to kick back and groove. Look no further than Slanigiro Renguez’s
rather trip track, “Houston?”—and yes, the question mark is intentional. Actually, the unique
application of that bit of punctuation is rather apropos given that the song is a bit of a mystery wrapped up inside a puzzle. While ostensibly it’s about Texas’s biggest city, Renguez’s funky playing and trippy singing are going to make you wonder what in the world happened on the way to Houston.
If we find out, we’ll let you know. Meantime, enjoy the journey—while scratching your head.
