Sunstoney is kicking off the weekend at DC9 Nightclub! Go check out this DC-based artist who turned to her love of music to get through the difficult times of the pandemic. Her creative rebirth yielded a wonderous collection of lo-fi R&B songs, gathered into her new album, In Your Apartment. She draws on influences ranging from Nai Palm’s soul, to the maximalist jazz-funk maelstrom of Flying Lotus, to the soft-focus chillwave of Washed Out and Toro y Moi. With the all of raw, intimately powerful music that came out as a result, this show will be something you don’t want to miss.
