After years of wanting to work on a project together, D.C.-based pop duo sunset + mine debuts with a new light-hearted and fun single, “Honey Let’s Go.” The song, released today, January 14, is the duo’s first project and introduces the two into the pop scene with a bang.
The song chronicles the husband-and-wife duo, Rocco and Valerie, and their love story. Reminiscent of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” the song has recognizable and energizing synth beats, along with smooth vocals and easy-going lyrics. The team also included LA-based producer Ian Charlie who helped combine the couple’s talents seamlessly. Details are the main attraction throughout the song, as they recount how the weather and places always changed while their love grew.

So Honey let’s go
The lyrics take the listener with the couple in the car on their road trips, exploring the world through the seasons. It’s the perfect track to sing along to while driving on the highway and a great road trip tune.
