Modern pop singer-songwriter Aiela Angela is in the driver’s seat with her latest single, “Baby, I Know,” which released on January 7. The catchy, feel-good track with R&B influences takes listeners on a trip down memory lane in life and love. In a genre that is noticeably saturated, Angela’s growing body of work continues to command attention, and her new single is yet another example of that.
“Baby, I Know” is inspired by a car ride back into a town where a lot of memories were unleashed. I’ve always wanted to write a song about going for a car ride,” Angela shared about her latest track. “When producer Onzieb handed me the instrumental tune, I was instantly struck by how nostalgic it sounded. I thought to myself, ‘I should incorporate my feelings with a story about a car ride,’ so the track was born.”
In “Baby, I Know,” a car ride serves as a metaphor for an individual’s relationship journey. “As I drive by car / You hope I take it slow / When I hit the brakes / You wish I turn around and stay,” Angela sings backed by airy, groovy instrumentation and production. The lyrics throughout the rest of the song chronicle the relationship between the two former flames, with the maturity of a narrator who has grown during the years in between.
Fans of Dua Lipa and Selena Gomez will identify with Aiela Angela’s contemporary sound and danceable compositions.

Against a bouncy, dreamy backdrop, “Baby, I Know” tells the timeless story of fleeting love and the powerful memories it leaves behind that stay with us for a lifetime.
