Poised for a full album release this year, Sam Brace’s latest single “Brave” is both inspiring and sonically elegant.
“Brave” is the first solo project of Sam Brace, who is the long-time guitar player for folk-punk group Skinny Lister. Brace played with Skinny Lister for more than ten years, with whom he released five studio albums and appeared in international headline and global tours. Writing over quarantine alongside his writing partner Adam Terry, Brace is displaying his true passion for rock n’ roll for the first time.
“’Brave’ is mostly about the questions we should ask ourselves before trying to bring about change in another person’s life, as well as facing the future and pushing on no matter how dangerous life circumstances might seem or how insecure you might feel,” Brace says.
In addition to being lyrically sophisticated, “Brave” is sonically reminiscent of classic 90s rock, with a breezy verse and big chorus.
