Palm Coast, Florida-based country musician, Justin Turk, urges us to take it easy with his new EP, Just In Time, which released on February 25. As a singer-songwriter who creates music to help express himself through the power of song, Turk’s tunes have the feel of friendly advice from someone who has experienced life in the fast lane and understands the value of patience in the process of becoming who you are.
Turk writes that, “music is easy listening and fun. That’s because good music is rarely a result of a contrived process, but one that is free-flowing and organic.” This highly personable approach to the songwriting shines through in its friendly demeanor and upbeat groove. His focus in both in the story and in the melody when creating songs like those on his EP allows people to easily relate to with catchy hooks that will have you singing along in no time.
Using a wonderful blend of pop, rock, and folk, Turk finds a niche for himself that feels homey. There’s nothing too needlessly complicated about the collection; it simply offers a nice, laid-back time for reflection and good vibes.
Just In Time was produced by Art Ward from Century Music Group and mixed and mastered by two-time Grammy nominee Justin Cortelyou, which speaks volumes to the overall production elements. Combined with some of the best musicians currently based in Nashville, the collection of songs is sure to captivate audiences far and wide with its authenticity and generous spirit.

Charlie Maybee is a dancer, musician, educator, and writer based in Charleston, South Carolina who currently teaches with the Dance Program at the College of Charleston. His primary work as an artist is with his performing collective, Polymath Performance Project, through which he makes interdisciplinary performance art that centers tap dance as the primary medium of expression and research. He also currently plays rhythm guitar for the Charleston-based punk band, Anergy, and releases music as a solo artist under the name Nox Eterna.
