From his new two-track EP, Candy, February has released his new song, “Stick Around.” This is the Indiana native’s first release since his 2021 album, Ghosts of Lovers and Hollywood Dreams.
“Stick Around” is an exciting, genre-bending track that continues to get better with each listen. The electric guitar take a front seat, as the moveable beats start the song off and end it as well; the rhythm is reminiscent of 24kGoldn’s single, “CITY OF ANGELS.” February’s lyricism shines on this track, as the song illustrates how hard it might be to let go of a relationship, or even some old, unhealthy habits.
“From going from focusing on the future and bettering yourself to dwelling in the past and making up excuses to make yourself feel better, I feel like a lot of people go through stuff like this,” said the 18-year-old artist. “Based off what society is telling us to do and to constantly move on is hard, there are some things that aren’t easy to let go of.”
