Frontman Joey Dean and guitarist & producer Niko Vaude of King Vagabond have just debuted their leading single, ‘Rule The World,’ and it may very well be the track that signals the ascent of King Vagabond toward musical global domination. The song is intended as something of an anthem, with the song’s central hook, “I wanna rule the world,” communicating King Vagabond’s “undying drive to reach personal apotheosis while asking listeners to do the same.”
A direct response to post-pandemic angst, “Rule The World” explores the mythos of literary and historic figures while compelling listeners to not only examine the darkness and division inside of themselves but to reconcile them; suggesting that these divisions are what keeps us from reaching our true potential. King Vagabond promises future offerings that were written and developed during the last two years as Dean and Vaude found cathartic inspiration while witnessing “years of massive division—a division that continues to contaminate society.”
