Alt-country singer-songwriter Saven has released his new genre-bending single “Falling Falling Down.” This latest single is part of his master plan to release a new single every month in 2022. “Falling Falling Down” follows the singles “I Don’t Want to Be Here,” “Times,” and “Tell Me When You Dream.”
While Saven first debuted with his first single “I Love The Attention” in 2019, he has been writing songs since he was 13 years old. His inspiration stems from the many different countries he has lived in – he draws from indie, folk, country, rock, and pop music. Some of these influences are distinguishable in his new single.
“Falling Falling Down” is a slow country alt-rock song; driven by Saven’s pure rock voice, specifically towards the end, he adds an edge to the twangy acoustic guitar backdrop. The darker lyrics illustrate the difficulty and sadness around finally realizing the reality of an unhealthy or toxic situation.
My demons keep saying
They mean me no harm
But why are they grinning?
How did I fall for their charm?
