Swedish and Finnish songwriter, producer, and guitarist Early Signs’ debut album, Volume 1, is a dreamy indie-alt soundscape.
Early Signs was born during quarantine when an offhand collaboration between Petter Näse and Henri Växby transformed into a full-blown album. Created between Stockholm and London, they saw, “the “early signs” of a fruitful creativity and the beginnings of something fresh.” Näse pushed forward, recording songs in hushed tones after his children’s bedtime, recruiting more friends to join along the way: Fredrik Myhr, Clas Lassbo, Janne Manninen, Oskar Häggdahl, and Anton Sundell.
Early Signs has led its fans along a rich and complex journey over the past six months with the release of four singles off their upcoming album, including: “1859 (Make Me Feel Alive Again),” “Highs & Lows,” “Just As If New,” and “Hang On.” The full album holds ten tracks, though, which Early Signs calls, “10 abstract stories set to song and enveloped in atmospheric soundscapes.”
The dreamy, folky, alternative indie tracks are both grounded and groovy.
