Swedish singer-songwriter, Anton Fermhede, has released his next single “Lincoln,” from his upcoming album “Big Sur,” set to be released this fall. The catchy, mellow single illustrates how money and immaterial possessions can control us.
Fermhede was discovered while playing music in a stairway in Gothenburg, Sweden, and he released his first album in 2016. Since then, he has made it his mission to produce and release music that was meaningful and heartfelt. He released his first EP series, “Common Sense pt I & II,” in 2019 about the “beautiful yet scary labyrinths of the mind and heart.”
The single is perfect for summer, as it takes a lighter, more positive look at the things that truly matter in life. The whistling background and lively acoustic guitar brings the track to an indie surf-rock level, enhancing Fermhede’s message of letting go of things that can’t give us a deeper, meaningful understanding of life, like money.
