“Genre-blending” artist Volz is back in collaboration with Flower in Bloom for their latest track, ‘San Diego’.
Though completely self-taught, Volz has loved and been passionate about music since a young age. His lack of formal instruction makes his sound totally fresh and his own. This is also due in part to his diverse influences– they vary from Paramore, the 1975, and Quincy Jones to Kid Cudi, Dave Grohl, Alicia Keys, Timbaland, and Barry White. Though his background is not formal, his talent is natural, and his skill was developed through years of discipline and intense study.
Flower in Bloom describes herself as an alternative R&B because of her ever-changing, mutable style– she just makes the music “that feels right to her.” Since her 2019 debut, she has released two EPs and a number of singles, making her mark on the music world.
‘San Diego’ is a refreshing summer track full of contagious positive energy that makes you want to dance. The bubbly, easy sound gives the track a vibrant air, emphasized by the use of guitars and strings.
‘San Digeo’ is the perfect track to play with the windows rolled down on a long, summer car ride. The colorful, bright track feels like a cool drink on a hot day.
