After her four EPs and two LPs, Good News and Something For Thee Hotties, all garnering critical acclaim, the Grammy award-winning superstar, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Megan Thee Stallion has unleashed her highly-anticipated new LP, Traumazine.
This new project invites listeners into Megan’s deepest thoughts and touches on her journey of self-actualization and dealing with trauma. Specific songs that highlight this and are quite relatable include: “Red Wine”, “Anxiety”, and “Flip Flop”. These deeper tracks seem to be placed later in the album, after she asserts her refreshing confidence and dominance in tracks like “NDA”, “Ungrateful”, “Not Nice”, “Budget”, “Her”, “Scary”, and more. The album closes with fun tracks like “Star” and “Southside Royalty Freestyle”. It feels very authentic and in tune with Megan’s thoughts and feelings.
Her new album features some of the hottest names in music including: Dua Lipa, Key Glock, Jhené Aiko, Rico Nasty, Latto, Lucky Daye, Pooh Shiesty, as well as Houston staples such as Sauce Walka, Big Pokey, and Lil Keke. Traumazine is packed with incredible collaborations, as well as numerous solo tracks from Thee Stallion. It also includes previously-released songs, such as “Pressurelicious”, “Sweetest Pie”, and “Plan B”.
The announcement of Traumazine follows Megan’s 2022 Billboard Music Awards “Top Rap Female Artist” win, her second consecutive victory. She was also recognized by The Webby Awards for her artistry and advocacy efforts and received the 2022 Special Achievement Award.
