Their debut EP, MIRЯOR: Framework, was released on March 31 – a four-song collection “about embracing the in-betweens in life and love and the darkness in yourself that you must overcome.”
The Texas-born twins are now Nashville-based, and their upcoming trilogy of EPs follow their journey of self-discovery and reflection as they navigate life in their twenties. They have been singing and harmonizing together since childhood, surrounded by blues, rock, and country influences like Elvis, Etta James, The Judds, Heart, Janis Joplin, and Fleetwood Mac. By the time they got to high school, they discovered they wanted to write their own music, leading them to Nashville. “We are best friends and co-writers, so it just created the perfect environment to have a safe place to create,” Jordan says. “We’re really honest with each other, so it’s just really nice to have that built-in editor to get the best out of songs.”
“Framework”, the first out of the “MIRЯOR” series of three, focuses on “having a dream, having a framework of what your dream should look like, and then realizing that you have doubts about yourself and that other people aren’t quite as honorable as you thought they would be,” Madison says. It chronicles the process of overcoming these obstacles. “It’s inspired by our real life,” Jordan says. “It’s a therapeutic way of processing your real life in a more concise and artistic way that is going to affect and inspire other people because I’m sure other people are experiencing the same types of feelings and confusion at this point in their lives too.” Twenty-somethings put so much pressure on themselves, they agree – this album is for everyone, but especially those who are being too hard on themselves
