If the name Peter Case doesn’t ring a bell, how about the Plimsouls? You might well remember their amazing song “A Million Miles Away,” featured ever so prominently in 1983’s “Valley Girl,” starring a rather young (and not yet quite so crazy but nonetheless a bit batty) Nicolas Cage. Despite the runaway success of “A Million Miles Away,” the Plimsouls soon disbanded after that film, but member Peter Case has kept right on rocking and rolling as a solo artist—and he still is.
The singer-songwriter will be dropping by Jammin’ Java in Vienna, Virginia, on April 12, where he’ll be performing tunes from across his rather incredible career. Oh, and the native of Buffalo, New York, has got a new album, called “Doctor Moan,” set to drop on Sunset Blvd. Records March 31.
