Viana Valentine is “Hella Depressed” in New LP “Fever Dream”
Released on June 2nd, Rhode Island-native Viana Valentine unveils her newest EP, “Fever Dream.”
Being a performer for most of her life, Valentine learned her love of music through performing with her pop-rock band, Royal Street. Now going solo, Valentine is currently inspired by artists like Maggie Rogers, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lords.
“Fever Dream” is a seven-song project encapsulating moments in Valentine’s life from the past few years. The EP takes an indie-pop route, elevating high moments with faster percussion and lower moments with guitar riffs.
“These songs range from talking about falling in love, not feeling worthy of love, from feeling like you’re drowning in life, to feeling like you’re too much,” Valentine said. “Ultimately, this album was a way for me to talk through what I’ve gone through, and my hope is that someone can relate who might be going through a similar time in their life.”
