Come to The Pocket this weekend for two hours of indie music! If you enjoy The Strokes, The Smiths, Velvet Underground, and supporting the local DMV music scene, then be sure to check out neo-grunge, post-punk band from Alexandria, VA, The Sebastions.
We reached out to them to see what to expect from their show, “I’d say people can expect The Sebastions set to entertain from start to finish. It’s a fun sound, with thoughtful lyrics and killer guitar tones. Each song has a unique vibe, which we’re hoping will command attention and provide energy throughout the entire set.”
Earlier in the year, they released their first EP, Here For Now. Clocking in at almost 25 minutes, this nostalgic masterpiece has classic instrumental tracks and well-thought lyrics. Personally, my favorite would have to be “Gabriel.” This track took me back to listening to music with my dad listening to artists like Oasis, Bush, Foo Fighters, Vertical Horizon, and The Smashing Pumpkins. The “…and to see a smile on your face” line, along with the extended outro reminds of a scene in a movie with a couple driving in the car with the windows down and wind blowing in their hair on a sunny day.
