Dallas native, current D.C. artist, and rising star chromonicci.’s latest single “Magnetic” is funky, fresh, and flavorful.
Christian Crenshaw aka chromonicci. is a versatile creative and performer, acting as producer, vocalist, and DJ. Headlining shows in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles and beyond, he has garnered support from the likes of Sam Gellaitry, Mr. Carmack, and Medasin. His curated sound falls into a contemporary R&B style, but it dips into and draws from many styles. Crenshaw calls his sound “niccibounce”, which he says “is groovy, emotive, and flavorful.”
“Magnetic” definitely lives up to this description. It is sexy and sparkling, but maintains its experimental, funky sound. chromonicci creates a shimmering soundscape, furnished with warm and familiar details.
Fans of Middle School or Mama Aiuto would enjoy chromonicci.’s music. It feels creamy, plush, and wholesome, while maintaining an edginess that delights listeners.
