Courtney King is a recent transplant to the Washington, D.C. music scene, and we’re damn glad to have her. “Feel Good Swiller” is Courtney King’s debut album featuring an indie alt rock fusion of both current and classic sounds. King draws her influence from artists such as Paramore, Joan Jett, Jack White, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys and P.J. Harvey. We get extra credit with this artist. Not only is King a burgeoning singer/songwriter, she is a hell of a rock flute player. King has a Master’s degree in Music, and in her previous life she toured with the Air Force Band.
