IkeN’s latest track “Perfection // T r u s t” offers a more experimental look at his past discography.
Born in Kenya, raised around the world, and living in South Africa, Ike Ngala’s passion for music was ignited at a young age, with the gift of a simple toy piano. He spent his formative years experimenting with the instrument, finding his voice and his talent. Now 17 years old, he started writing and recording on his computer in his early teens, maturing into the delicately powerful alt-pop he performs today.
IkeN is excited to see how fans will react to his new sound in “Perfection // T r u s t.”
“This song is probably one of, if not, my favorite songs out of all the songs I’ve made,” Ngala said. “It’s a more experimental track, so I’m hoping that people will be able to enjoy it with all its peculiarities. The track is positive and upbeat at one point, and then completely downtempo in another part, adding to how unconventional this song seems. Overall, I’m extremely excited to see how people will receive this track!”
