Indie singer-songwriter Jacob Humber is back with his new single, “Afterlife.” This is Humber’s fourth single since his debut in 2018 with “End of the Street.” The single was rewritten with its producer, Julian Dente, during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as recorded at Dente’s home studio.
With mixing by Kyle Dreaden and mastering by Joe Hutchinson, the song is incredibly likable; Humber’s easy vocals, the memorable drums, and creative production all help paint the picture of a man exhausted from living in a world where everyone is trying to convince everyone else that they are right; it illustrates that the focus should be on the present, rather than the future. It is a captivating track that will appeal to anyone who is mystified with what happens to us after death.
