Canada-native and Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Jenny Kern is back with a dreamy indie pop single “Feel It Again.” As she gears up for her upcoming EP, this is Jenny Kern’s second of 2022 following up her last release of the single “Say We Tried” with JacobNeverhill.
The indie pop vocalist first gained global attention in 2019 after the release of her debut single “Slow Burn;” she was immediately invited on her first international tour in Europe and featured on MTV, ABC and the CW. Later that year, Jenny recorded two singles, “Satellite” and “Now We Know,” with producer Andy Seltzer (Maggie Rogers, Chelsea Cutler, Valley).
Her first single release of 2021, “Coming Back For Me”, was another collaboration with producer Andy Seltzer. Released in January of 2021, the catchy single caught the attention of legendary radio voice and programmer Bruce Warren and has spun on XPN and NPR’s World Cafe. Audiences were also able to listen to Jenny’s music through several Spotify editorial playlists including Fresh Finds, Indie All Stars, and New Music Friday which collectively garnered +1 million listeners.
Kern described “Feel It Again” as an “emotional release;” it’s a pop anthem that explores the balances between the massive highs and lows of love. Kern’s vocals layered over EDM-inspired beats carries the song through its classic pop feel. “Feel It Again” is the anthem for anybody–whether you’re single or it’s “complicated,” you can listen to Kern’s new single with the windows down or on the dancefloor.
“The goal for this track and this upcoming EP was to really, truly play with rhythm,” said Kern. “This song especially dives into that with the synth bass line, drum groove and rhythmic guitar. My focus was to step outside of the box. Not do the norm of what everyone expects of me. I wanted to show another side of my artistry. I want this song to be an anthem for those who are constantly overwhelmed with emotion.”
