Indie rock band Meyru has released their new music video for their recently released single, “Off White.” The single follows their self-recorded debut album, Good to See You, which was supported with a series of sold-out shows all over New York City, San Francisco, Atlanta, D.C., and Charlotte.
The band worked with Sam Skinner (Pinegrove, Forth Wanderers) in addition to long-time collaborator and Brooklyn-based producer, Cal Maro, for their upcoming album. Their last single “I’d Ask…But I Know You’re Alright” was added to Spotify’s “Fresh Finds: Indie,” as well as Earmilk and Apple Music’s “New in Alternative” and “New in Rock” playlists.
“Off White” is a relatable indie-rock tune that is reminiscent of sing-songy beats from the 50s and 60s. The crunchy guitar leading up to the piano breaks after the chorus makes “Off White” an instant indie hit, but the lyrics take it to another level – the song is about being left with no other choices, and being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
