Los Angeles-based singer songwriter, Nate Amor, takes a softer route with his new single, “Lose This Way”. This is pop-rock artist’s second single following his debut single: “Ain’t Hitting Me Yet”.
As a child, Nate Amor grew up in Minneapolis listening to all things Rock ‘n Roll Americana; his first time performing was at his high school talent show with a cover of Elvis’ “In the Ghetto”. Since his start, Nate has become a vocalist for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, was featured on NBC’s The Voice, and has shared the stage with Train, Mat Kearney, and Marc Cohn. Nate Amor’s upcoming debut album was mixed by Joe Zook and Drew Middleton, featuring musical influences from his childhood as well as his personal experiences.
“Lose This Way” is a cathartic lament dedicated to the process of grief after a traumatic event; for Nate, he felt this grief after he experienced a divorce, as well as the death of his mother. Reminiscent of Ray Lamontagne and Chris Stapleton, the track’s intense focus is Nate’s voice; deep and dark, the singer-songwriter reaches inside himself to give an intimate and emotional performance on this record.
“It is a journey to say goodbye to my ex, wish her well, and to say that I’m accepting the loss of her,” explained the songwriter. “The truth was that I’d been so selfish. We ALL experience loss. Deaths of many kinds, it’s a part of life. This song helped me get out and release my grief, let go, and continue on.”
