The Alchemist
Patrick O’Kane, also known as ohhpatches, was raised in Washington D.C. by his Father who had an encyclopedic record collection and roots in the Go-Go scene in his time. Ohhpatches recently finished up his latest project called, “P.S. I’m OK”. When asked about the album he had the following to say:
There are no rules. Only ideas grinded with a spirit of reckless exploration. ohhpatches brings the feeling of fear absolved into heavy drums and remorseless lyrics, depicting a human being behind the sounds. His debut single, “Hide This Pain” sees him venture into the unknown with his first real vocal offering, and a coming album entitled P.S. I’m OK harnesses the discomfort and deep thought that comes with being locked inside for over a year.
The first release off the upcoming project is titled, “Hide This Pain”, and it starts with a simple bass line before exploding into an incredibly catchy hook. The instrumental portion is a combination of guitar lead line that features some catchy riffs with a steady drumbeat that comes in and out throughout the song.
