The Alchemist
Wild Idol is a pandemic formed electric pop/soul duo made up of producer Nathan Ellman-Bell (drummer for Brass Against) and award winning vocalist Nora Palka. They are also in love. Although they currently live in Brooklyn, Nora is originally from the DMV and Nathan started his career in Baltimore.
When the pandemic hit, they got through it the only way they knew how, making music and recording from home. Everything they record is done out of their one-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, NY. Their sound is a mix of indie-pop, soul and R&B. Smooth, percussive, melodic beats provide an atmosphere that will make you want to chill out, relax and take it easy, babe!
Their newest track is called, “i gotta thing for you” and it’s very emotionally pleasing. The instrumental portion starts with a piano arpeggio and evolves into more of an upbeat pop track as the track builds.
When asked about the song Nathan and Nora had this to say:
This song is about having a thing for someone but you don’t really know why. Your friends thing your out of their league, the person themselves are even confused as to why you like them, but yet, you gotta thing for them. What can you do?
