Polish Trip-Hop Artist Yarku Explores the Wholeness of “Duality”

Trip-hop artist Yarku takes listeners on an immersive, metaphysical journey to the ends of the earth with his latest single “Duality.” The atmospheric, cleverly crafted single is meant to inspire individuals to come to terms with the component parts of themselves that form their being.

Hailing from Eastern Europe, Yarku is a promising musician and producer who has developed an eclectic, captivating sound that includes elements of electronic, trip-hop, and chillwave. Fans of Portishead and Massive Attack will identify with the moody, dark, experimental nature of Yarku’s sound.

“Nature and the place I moved to inspired me to create ‘Duality,’” explained Yarku, referring to a forest in Warsaw. “I walked at night, took pictures of the stars, and felt united with everything around me. I felt that everything was ‘one’ playing the so-called ‘duality’ game.”

Yarku describes the creative process for the song as transcendent and cathartic. “The energy went by itself,” he explained. “I was just letting it go through me.” The accompanying music video for “Duality” directed by Alia Fay captures the tension at the core of Yarku’s vision for the song. “It was cold and wet; moreover, I was bitten by four ticks, but the result is definitely worth it,” he noted.
