She Is Jules’ latest track “falling” explores the feelings that accompany the slide into a depressive episode.
She Is Jules is from the Bay area, started writing songs when she was just 8. She continued into adulthood, with this being the third single off her 3rd EP “Synesthesia”, in which every song represents a color. “falling” represents green.
““falling” is a song about knowing you’re falling back into a cycle of depression. It’s also about how the smallest tasks can feel so overwhelming when you’re in that mindset. In the song I talk about “riding my bike through the street” & “dishes in the kitchen sink”. Those visuals represent how even the smallest things can feel so heavy.”
She Is Jules hopes that the song will have a real impact on fans who go through the same thing.
“My hope for the track is to make those who have experienced the same thing feel not so alone. I never want to sugarcoat to my fans, so that’s why I don’t have a traditional “light at the end of the tunnel” for the track. My main point for this song is to relate to my listeners who have experienced the same feeling.”
