Of all the new music dropping this Friday, you won’t want to miss “UTYLGO” from band Hello Amnesia. The newest single introduces the rock powerhouse’s upcoming EP and promises advancement into a maturing sound.
Harkening back to legends like Foo Fighters and even earlier cuts from the likes of Deep Purple, Hello Amnesia brings talent from all corners of the world — Portugal, Wales, New Zealand, Italy, Turkey, and the North of England — to create the circumstances for endless creative potential. The band’s eclectic sound in “UTYLGO” demands expressive freedom, as do their lyrics. “Inner child is on fire, please don’t call them a liar,” they beg in the second chorus. “Do yourself a favor, give in and fucking sing until your lungs give out!”
While the track conveys power from start to finish, it has a surprising focal point following the second verse. The band takes listeners into a groovy tone shift through the bridge before dropping into a sick shred and the final chorus.
“UTYLGO” showcases the band’s blistering presence — it’s clearly a live audience song, meant to be performed in front of a roaring crowd. Even so, Hello Amnesia adds enough sonic interest to make the track just as fun blasted in the car or through earbuds.
Fans can expect more of these precise auditory experiences from upcoming releases, and should take Hello Amnesia’s sage advice and sing until their lungs give out all the while.
