Alchemical Records sweetheart Sweet Pickles has released the music video for “Arms Wrapped Around You Forever,” their latest single.
Sweet Pickles is a funky, progressive alternative rock band based out of the D.C. area, where lead vocalist and guitarist Derrick Hensley found his home, despite being born and raised in Appalachia.
Their style is guided by “Joaquin Vallejo’s Latin American-style drumming, Robert Lee’s soulful bass guitar vetted through the D.C. R&B and punk rock scenes, and Derrick Hensley’s guitar work which has been influenced by the music of the Appalachian Mountain region from where he originates.”
The newest music video shows a couple falling in love, spending time together, but ultimately breaking up, interspersed between footage of the band playing the song. The deft guitar and gritty vocals make the track stand out.
Fans of fantastic guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix or Van Halen should check out Sweet Pickles. They are cool, funky, and a little tangy- just how you’d expect.
