After releasing his debut single “First Day Out” in 2016, Tee Grizzley became a viral sensation; earning over two billion views in less than three weeks, the rapper started his musical journey. He was nominated for the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards in Best New Hip Hop Artist and Best Mixtape; he was also nominated for the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards in Push Artist of the Year.
The music video for Tee Grizzley’s single “Ms. Evans 1” tells the story of two high school students crushing on their teacher. While the beat carries the tune, the centerpiece of this project is the level of storytelling–even without the visual aid of the music video, Tee Grizzley illustrates detail and character so cleverly into his songwriting.
