Richmond, Virginia Top 40 charting Indie Rock band, The J.O.B. has just released their first single of 2022, “Here For You.” Inspired by recent events in the band’s hometown, this ballad explores feelings of confusion, anger, and regret, while continuing to acknowledge “I’m here for you” from a place of love.
I’ll never leave you / I’ll always love you / When the world is burning / And it feels like love is through / I’m here for you
It’s hard to tell exactly how or when, but at some point in “Here For You” all The J.O.B.’s Rock and Roll instincts take over and the song becomes something more than a ballad; with a high energy bridge sporting a snarling lead guitar playing an exotic riff, the track continues to build and develop with the fullness we expect from the band while proving the band still has surprises in store for longtime fans and new listeners alike.
“Here For You” is a versatile track that speaks of building a better community at large, but could easily be speaking about developing better one on one relationships, or about the band being there for one another and their fans.
