With intricate, striking guitar riffs and gritty, full vocals, The Slang is back with their newest single, “Nothing Lasts Forever.”
D.C.-based duo John Bobo and Felix Neito’s music tests the limit of genre, fusing power-pop, alternative, and contemporary rock. Lead vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Bobo handles the majority of the songwriting, while bassist/multi-instrumentalist Felix Nieto takes on production.
“We want to do it right,” says Bobo. “And we’re willing to do whatever it takes to make the best possible track each time.”
The Slang’s newest single, “Nothing Lasts Forever,” gives listeners a timeless feel: your 15-year-old self would love the deft guitar and steely vocals as much as you will now. The video offers a heartfelt look into a very human, raw moment: addiction to people and how they make us feel.
The Slang will appeal to fans of The Killers or Kings of Leon, for their classic yet experimental alternative rock feel.
