“When will you believe that you are all you need?” It’s one of many questions posed by Singer-songwriter Ting Lin in her latest single “Love You For You” intended to remind you that self-love and self-confidence are worth pursuing and embracing with your whole heart. It’s a soothing track that includes spoken word reflecting an internal dialogue where we do recognize our own worth.
“Love You For You” is a gentle reminder of the human need for validation and the importance of seeking that from yourself first, because the human experience, while shared, is also extremely personal. While it is good to feel the love and acceptance of others, “they don’t know you like you do.” Like her other releases, “Love You For You” achieves Lin’s continuing vision of creating music that encourages reflection and inspires action. So, “when will you believe that you are all you need?” If not now, when?
